It is normal for people to exaggerate their sense of happiness (”I feel like I’m on top of the world” - Is it not true that everybody is on top of the world except for those working in mines?!) and despair (”I’m very down right now.” Down as in under a couple of blankets?) Sometimes people even exaggerate their feelings of hope.
Laughter is something I have always viewed as that which can easily be exaggerated. Need proof? I have come across a lot of people who write out in the chat box or an email response “ROTFLOL” whereas they are all perfectly normally seated on the chair, as against their extravagant claim. Rolling on the floor, indeed?! In a novel that I am reading now, John Le Carre describes a night manager of a Swiss hotel practicing his smile carefully in front of the mirror, just before he is set to welcome an important guest into the hotel. He believes no guest would want to see a hotel manager baring all his teeth like a chimpanzee..!
So you keep laughing. But next time around, if somebody says they find me very funny, and then laugh out loud, I just think I might be a bit sceptical!

$ 900 million to Pakistan
The World Bank has approved a transfer of $900 million to the country of Pakistan to aid in the restoration of the country and to improve its rural level of education. The country has been so far seen as a failure of a nation and has the highest number of rural disputes in terms of education and development. However this massive aid could help the country to bring its education level back to its feel which would help the country to develop and recover from the terrible losses that it has been suffering. Plagued by terrorism and strict draconian rules by the various military factions, the country is crying out for a change that can be bought about if this aid is being used in the right way. The aid was most welcome by the government who look to make good use of the funds provided and hope for a brighter future.
It's a Full moon day
Full moon days still scare me. One of my good friends (I hate to mention the name but her nick name was Dep) 'believed' that she went crazy on those days. I can hardly recollect the days she was normal (chuckling)! Anyways she used to tell us how her thoughts would wander and she would feel like doing things that would sound crazy even to a crazy man. I am not exaggerating. It has been believed for a long time now that full moon days are not like other days. The ocean waves are more ferocious on these days and one would be scared even to step on the sands near the shore. Philosophies can vary but the fact remains.

It's a boy!
My neighbor and a very good friend of mine delivered a handsome baby boy yesterday. The noname baby (as the hospital people call it!) could not wait to see his parents and the beautiful world that he came out 3 weeks earlier. It was such a joyous occasion for the couple and all their friends which will be cherished forever. We are still waiting to hear the name, cannot take the suspense any longer. Wishes to the baby and may God shower his blessings on him forever. And good luck to the parenting team!

Peace
The point is, I’m not against anger. It’s said that when there is no anger, there is no passion too. I am not sure how far it is true but I do believe in that. Anger is human nature. But let it not lead to madness and insanity… If we can possibly avoid it (only if we do not build up silent emotions of hatred in the heart), let us be calm. No good can ever come from anger(at least most of the time).
We will know then, in silence, that the world is completely beautiful and certainly not mad!
We will know then, in silence, that the world is completely beautiful and certainly not mad!

Emphasis of education on youth
The youth today should be made to realize that the best heritage that they can obtain from their parents is education. Parents should be made to realize that the best thing that they can do to aid in their child’s upbringing is to provide them with quality education. Parents cannot always control their child’s life but they can always make it better by providing them with quality education that will guide them in the right path. Education does not have to mean text books and class notes. It is the basic study of values and building of character that would make a person an amicable person in the society and good a good human being. Education is the first and foremost builder of character in the society. The government should put extra effort in encouraging the education of its children so that they can become the perfect leaders for tomorrow earning laurels for the country.
